NCDC heads to Guam

Cliff Jacobs, NCDC Project Director and Melynda Benjamin, NDCI Project Director traveled to Haganata, Guam to provide on-site technical assistance for the Judiciary of Guam DWI Treatment Court Program. During the visit Jacobs and Benjamin had the opportunity to meet Governor Eddie Calvo, along with Speaker B.J. Cruz, Vice Speaker Therese Terlaje, and Legislative Secretary Regine Biscoe Lee. Jacobs and Benjamin also conducted interviews with multiple disciplines within the Judiciary of Guam DWI Treatment Court Program. Based on the interviews Jacobs and Benjamin were able to provide feedback to assist the court with achieving evidence-based practices and maintaining fidelity to the DWI court model. The Judiciary of Guam DWI Treatment Court Program is led by Presiding Judge Alberto C. Lamorena II. The program was established in 2017.
