CARS Assessment Tool Available

The National Center for DWI Courts (NCDC) is excited for the release of the Computerized Assessment and Referral System (CARS) is finally available to the field. This free assessment tool targets not just DWI offenders, but offenders that have a nexus of mental health and criminal behavior.

For the past six years, the Division on Addiction has collaborated with the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility (FAAR) to develop a mental health screening and assessment tool that can be used in programs that work with DUI offenders and beyond.
