DWI court alumni doing amazing things

Patricia Sams, a DWI court graduate from Missouri, was part of this year’s Parade of Transformation. She also told her story on all four stops of NCDC’s Reform & Responsibility Tour in 2017. She’s the founder of a community-based recovery support program called PEEPs in Recovery that’s continually expanding to serve more people in need. They recently opened a new recovery housing facility, and six of its residents started college on Monday, with several more scheduled to enroll for the spring semester. This may seem like a small number, but it’s a huge accomplishment in a place like rural Missouri.
